COLLEGE CLUB

COLLEGE FRIDAY - SJMS students are working hard every day, preparing themselves to go to college, earning college units, and the privilege of attending College Friday celebrations.  Only students who are responsible and respectful during the previous month will be invited to attend.   These celebrations, including BMX stunt teams, inflatables, ice cream social, free prizes, and more, are exactly what helps motivates middle school kids.  Kids are working hard and staying focused on college, so they can join their friends at College Friday celebrations.

COLLEGE VISITS – This school year every student will attend a local college or university.  That’s right….the students are going to college for a day.  They will spend the day touring the various aspects of the college and see firsthand what is like to be a college student.

SUPPORT -To volunteer to help with College Club, contact Meagan Snover @ msnover@nusd.org .  To donate, make checks payable to SJMS College Club and send to the office.

We raised $27,000 with a net profit of $22,500 after expenses!

$2,875 of this profit was raised for the College Program. 

All the money raised will go directly into supporting many PTA programs that benefit all of our children at SJMS!

CORNER LANDSCAPE

Thank you to the many families and community members for the generous donations to this project.  Your patience, volunteer time, and donations are appreciated and recoginized. 

MONUMENT SIGN - There is currently $3,500 in the project fund.  A very nice monument sign has been ordered and will be installed by the end of Winter Break.  Two large trees will also be planted and irrigated to accent the sign.  If funds and volunteers are secured, additional planting around the sign is an option.   Click to view Sign Design.

GRASS -  NUSD has approved the installation of sod for the corner section up to the school office (approximately 20,000 sq. ft.)  The plans include irrigation, grading, top soil, and sod.  The timing on the installation of the sod will be in the next few months.

SUPPORT - PTA is currently accepting donations to replenish the "Campus Beautification Fund".  Please make checks payable to SJMS PTA - Campus Beautification and deliver the envelope to the school office.  Please also note if you are interested in volunteering.
